Well Ive just seen them live for the first time, supporting Pixies over here, and I must say the Followhills almost upstaged them... If their set had been slightly less drawn out it would have been a classic for me. They pen such immediate songs that there were 40 year old Pixies obsessives who havent heard of any band post-Pumpkins that were leaving the concert humming "Four Kicks". I can only see them going up and up... Great band.

I have this problem with the Kings Of Leon.
I WANT to like them , but i get this impression they`re holding back. I really can`t describe it. It`s like they have this fantastic album in them but they can`t get it out.

I've seen Kings of Leon. Theyre good live, but its not like theyre SO much better than the recordings, you get bands that are so good live and the recordings are shyat, and then you get bands that you think would be awesome live, and aren't.
I dont think KOL are either. They were good, awesome, I was at the front. So all was good, But they have no stage presense or Interation with the crowd, they just played straight through it, didn't say anything...Just threw about 3 unused picks out. This was following Nathans Illness, but yeah...still. It was good. They played some tunes of the old album...so that was gooood. |
