I liked those - but I liked Red Morning Light better. I've heard some other stuff off the Youth album but never that one, it was good.

I used to love that album top to toe. Red Morning Light was on Fifa 2003. :( I miss good KOL.

Maybe once theyre less mainstream they will go back to doing good music? Hope for the best :)

Fifa 2003.. I think I have that. Either Fifa or PES anyway. I believe we have all the PES games.. Fifa starts this month right? Pah I'm so excited, Italy better win like last time.

I hoped after getting a load of money from OBTN they'd make another great record on the biggest stage possible, now everyone knows them. But I heard they're doing a "more chilled out beachy record" which basically means to me another bland and boring middle of the road one.

I never really understood if bands music turn bad after they became really popular, or they were just trying to make another album which would attract the same audience that liked the previous popular album, therefore making crappy music. Some can do it, some cant. KOL was one of he ones that couldnt, I guess.

Of course I mean the Fifa World Cup! Are you excited? I am :D

Some people disliked them just because they weren't their little band anymore, everyone knew them and it was like hey I've liked them for 5 years.. Me included, but if I enjoyed the music I'd put that aside and the music was just so dull. Apart from the last song on the album, I quite liked that one.

I'm very excited. Football is my life, I don't get the same passion for England as I do about United but still, world cup year and I have the belief even though it's probably unjust. Why do you want Italy and not New Zealand? Italy can f-off.

Because I'm half Italian, and I used to live there for 6 years - including the last FIFA year in which Italy won. I'm stoked NZ got in, but I'd rather Italy won because they basically live for football, while the national NZ sport is rugby. So if its a rugby championship I'd rather NZ won, but in the FIFA case, I'm for Italy. Plus, they are an amazing team :D

I dont really follow English football, but I've seen what the games are like and they seem pretty boring. No one gets up or excited, its all just sitting down and relaxed - it seems really unenthusiastic. In Italy its chaos, thats how I remember them anyway.

But in the world cup, if Englands playing against Germany, for instance, I'll root for England. If it comes to them against Italy though, my cheers will be for my Italian buddies. Sorry :(

I'm actually looking forward to it... I think KOL are being kinda unnecessarily derided in recent years... I'm not looking for them to be anything other than a solid rock band... everyone's painting too much onto them, methinks...
