you know the score.
kidding haha. but yeah i have to point out i don think theres any singer (that ive heard) has a voice quite as unique yet amazing at the same time. im sure most people would like a voice as outstanding and unique as him. id say he was KOL's secret weapon in a way.

They didn't seem like the kind to "go big" listening back from those early days, I agree.... now that they have gotten a wider audience, though, I am very curious to where they head next, hopefully they'll continue to chrun out the good stuff!

They'll progressively get worse and worse as they try harder and harder to become a 'stadium rock' band' Needless to say, it will be essential for you to see them play live before you die, but you'll give up on buying any of their albums as what sounds good in an arena filled with thousands of people does not sound good on your kitchen stereo at 10am.
That being said, while Only By The Night was a continuation of their descent (I believe that Youth & Young Manhood will always remain their best work), it was still listenable.

Curious to see if their next album will further that notion of them becoming more stadium rock... and not all stadium rock is bad, just some of itt.... if they're going stadium sized, I just hope they keep up the quality of their previous stuff...

i love kings of leon, Aha Shake Heartbreak is what got me into them their most recent album has some great songs on it to but sex on fire is overplayed now. Damn radio ruins all the good songs.

I agree with you that there is that something missing with them. They make hits, well always did in the UK, but now all over the world. There songs are very catchy and most have a good melody. There lyrics can go from lazy written to a song that was written so great yet wont receive any attention. I think this band has a great talent, and won't last much longer.. but they will however create more "mtv' music for us all to listen to. Well maybe in the not so distant future they will open up a bit more and give us a great album that will be worth talking about in 20 years from now.
