Agreed and unfortunately it seems that more people than not have been taking a liking to their new direction. I've never really been a Kings of Leon fan, but what they're producing now is even less aesthetic than before.

Kings of Leon have gained a large new fanbase for the sake of losing pretty much all of their old fans. They've gone from a music lovers band to a generic pop lovers band.

Their early stuff was def better, but that pretty much goes for every band.

I like their newest album as well as their older work, they have a different sound now, but they haven't gotten worse.

I'm still deciding if I like them or not. I love the guy's voice, I love the music, but something about it is too cliche for me. Like they are trying to follow a mold.
I'm not sure what it is.

I started listening to KOL with the release of Aha Shake Heartbreak. To me the band of brothers exceeded all expectations with Because of the Times, but their records all astound me. I am however, glad and sad at their new fanbase, in that I am happy for their success, but I will never be able to see them in an intimate setting again.
