KOL sold out?
Because they have made 3 brilliant albums that haven't got the recognition they deserved, so they decide to make an album a little more mainstreme and catchy? Nothing wrong with wanting to become popular, and because of that decision, they're the biggest band in the world right now. |

So changing your style and sound to a sanitized MOR arena rock in order to make more money isn't a soulless purely commercial decision?

going from a unique band to a throaway flavour of the month is pretty much the definition of selling out, I don't understand why people are sticking up for them when they even admitted to it.

I loved their sound before the 4th album, I loved Youth & Young Manhood and Aha Shake Heartbreak the most.
And I like Only By The Night the least, but I dunno, if I was making great songs like Milk, The Bucket, Soft, Red Morning Light and I was pretty unheard of. I'd want that to change. I still like their new stuff, that's probably why I'm defending them. But I'm getting annoyed with young girls who have heard 2 songs and call themselves 'fans' cnuts. |
