I think Sister is Sonic Youths most underated album , it`s easily my 2nd favourite after Daydream Nation.

i presently only own 4 albums, Goo and Dirty i'd recommend highly along with DN, i dont like rather ripped as much.

I own 5 albums (Confusion is Sex, Bad Moon Rising, Evol, Daydream Nation, Washing Machine), but have most of the others downloaded, plus some eps and some Thurston solo stuff and Lee solo stuff.

The only Sonic Youth albums I would avoid is Bad Moon Rising & NYC Ghosts & Flowers.
2 Albums that have one good song between them.

I'm a fan of Daydream Nation, Goo, and Rather Ripped. I borrowed a handful of other ones from a friend, but I haven't gotten around to listening to them as much as I should.

Has anyone gotten The Destroyed Room? Since I'm a fan of the band, I feel compelled to buy it legally, so I'd like to know if it's worth it. Thoughts?

its a collection of B-sides and rare tracks isnt it. ive listened to 4 songs and to be honest none of them have done anything for me.

They were certainly revoluntionary, have been very influencial and I like them but I think theres definitely something of a sacred cow syndrome in the way people treat them.

Very ironic for a band who called one of their early records Kill yr. Idols.
