Man this is my favourite band. Ever.

Get:
Dirty
Daydream Nation
Goo
Washing Machine
Sonic Nurse

Fave songs, Hookers has pretty much covered em. Check his recommendations out at the very least. But Dirty really is a must have, as an album.

agreed...he was very innovative for his unique alternate tuning styles, he was also a big influence on kurt cobain, as both a guitarist and a songwriter.

I think "Youth Against Fascism" is my favorite song on Dirty, which happens to be my favorite album by Sonic Youth.

I've found Sonic Youth to be rather overrated, I have Dirty and Washing Machine, I can really get into them when I'm in the right mood... But, I don't think they are all they're cracked up to be.
