best new indie band since the 90s? I dunno about that.

Couple of good songs I've heard from them. But, it should be interesting to see if they can progress at all.

Not the best new indie band since the 90s. The Coral, A silver Mount Zion, Libertines, (I'll get flamed for that) Neutral Milk Hotel, and dare I say it, even the Arcade fire are closer to being best indie band of the decade so far.

As of now, I'll tip my hat to the Fiery Furnaces for putting out consecutive good releases, the Faint and Le Tigre for putting out some of the best dance albums ever, and The Decemberists because I was totally unaware of their show last week in my town. Which reminds me, didnt the Decemberists just come out with a new album?

^Meh, I have no major problems with the Libertines, nothing to get flamed over at least. I'll admit it, I like two or three of their songs.
That Arcade Fire album pissed me off. You know, it was a decent album, but it was overhyped by the critics, and a lot of them were suggesting it was the best album of the year. What a load. For those who never picked up Funeral, don't! It's not worth it at all.

nothing wrong with the libertines at all. two very good albums in fact. im a fan. arcade fire are good, the coral are VERY good. but for me nobody tops BRMC in terms of indie this decade...so far.

I never said they were the best indie band since the 90's, that was on that link I gave you. I think probably The Coral are best.

The Libertines are great but I hate Franz Ferdinand (their guitar is so repetitive).

Anyway if you haven't already you should buy Bloc Party's album I don't care if they are not as good as so and so, it is still a great album.

Best new band of the 00's. Is the poster on something, or under the age of 16?
