Question Interpol & Hot Hot Heat

Could u recommend me some songs of Interpol and Hot Hot Heat?
Yeah, I think "Everyday I Love You Less And Less" is cool, but sometimes u just have to chose between & my fav is "I Predict A Riot".
Sad, I bet it's a cool pic! And tell me: Do ya brag a bit of it? Like "Oh, look! That's me and Matt Tong of Bloc Party! Isn't he cute?" Hehe...
What do ya think bout The Smiths? I like "This Charming Man" and "What Difference Would It Make" most. And I love Morrissey ("First Of The Gang To Die")! And I'm really annoyed, that they abused "How Soon Is Now" for this stupid "Charmed"-Intro, a lausy coverversion...

Sometimes I ask myself, what's wrong wit the world!!!

interpol - 'slow hands' and 'c'mere'
hot hot heat - anything off 'make up the breakdown' really. but the new song 'goodnight goodnight' is pretty good.
the smiths are good, i have a 'the queen is dead' tshirt....my fav smiths song is 'there is a light that never goes out' but morrisey annoys me, i like his music though. lol i dont brag about it lol, its too dark really.

Cool Hot Hot Heat's C.O.O.L.

Just wanted to say that I got "Make Up The Breakdown", it's a great LP!
I like it, especially "This Town", "Aveda" & "No, Not Now". And "Goodnight Goodnight" is cool as well.
I although listened to Interpol, my fav is "Slow Hands", but "Obstacle 1" is a good song, too.
Yeeeeaaah, "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out": Cause it's boring always to repeat "Good Song, nice song, beautiful song, unique song...", I won't say so this time. No need to say anyway, I guess.
Haha, but you would brag bout if anybody was able to recognize the Matt-alike on ya pic!!! I think I would do so, too...
Hmmm, I know what ya mean bout Morrissey, but as long as his music is good...Who cares? And it's all bout the music.
I hate people who like bands cause of their looks or their style or their image of whatever that sucks!!!
Thanx for ya advice. It's always nice to meet people who know what's real (u proved taste again!)...

used to have a chilling sound? we're not talking about a band thats spanned decades with numerous albums here. personally i think razorlight's sound is completely the opposite to being chilled out but there you go. and elevators is a lot better then make up the breakdown in my opinion. while mutb had a few standout tracks, elevator is a lot more consistent in terms of quality.

Yeah, maybe the expression "used" wasn't well chosen in this case, but I can CHILL very good listening to Razorlight! Well anyway, u don't need to like them, as long as u see that Coldplay's great (at least u see).
And as I already posted in the Hot Hot Heat Thread, I dunno much bout "Elevator" yet, but "Goodnight Goodnight" sounds promising.

Question Joy Division & Bloc Party???

I asked that before (but I got no answer):
Do u also see the parallels between Bloc Party and Joy Division?
I mean, cause of that dark smoothin' vibe?

not really. i see bloc party as more similiar to bands like gang of four etc. if you want a band that sounds exactly like joy division you cant lose with interpol. evil, NYC, obstacle 1, narc, slow hands etc all very good songs and all very division-esque. paul banks voice is errily like ian curtis'.

Arrow Test Transmission

I dunno...

Yeah, you're right with Interpol (& good songs indeed), but I read an interview wit Kele and Matt where excactly that was said (I thought bout this parallel actually before I read the article).
I mean songs like "Test Transmission"?
But I did't want to say that they sound the same...

But U don't seem to know what's real mentioning Mando Diao in such a negative way...
So c'mon, tell me: What do ya like? Another great band like HOT HOT HEAT?

And by the way: "I Predict A Riot" is a cool song indeed!
ok maybe i'm not the best person to advise you on great bands and music because i absolutley love the bravery, and by saying that if you liked oh my god you would like the rest i meant that the other songs on the album are similar to it, and less similar to i predict a riot unfortunatley...
