P.S.- Pretty sure there's 14 songs on the album, and not 13.

Like Eating Glass
Helicopter
Positive Tension
Banquet
Blue Light
She's Hearing Voices
This Modern Love
The Pioneers
Price of Gasoline
Little Thoughts
So Here We Are
Luno
Plans
Compliments

Little Thoughts is not in my version.

I have to say they're not THE best band but they're very good. a pretty decent debut album and Kele Okereke has a lush voice. T'would be sehr interesante to see what they develop into in the next few years.

Personally, I think that they're a solidly rad group, and I have tickets for their upcoming show. However, they generally strike me as a wholly average new indie-beat band. And trust me, there are swarms of these little boppers.

I mean, they're not doing anything particularly revolutionary:: their lyrics aren't striking, their sound isn't new, and if you're looking for a band who can make you dance they don't exactly deliver there either.

I suppose, however, that they do have the potential to pull a franz/killers on us and get obscenely big - but that's not exactly a testiment to their supposed exemplary originality.

Default I like Bloc Party

I never thought I would find people sharing my taste of music...in the world wide web!
I like Bloc Party. Just bought their LP last week & now I'm listening to them all the time. My favourite songs are "Banquet" (of course), "Blue Light" & "Positive Tension", but I guess the whole album's just GREAT!!!
Do U also see the parallels to JOY DIVISION? I mean, this kinda "dark, smoothin' vibe"?
Just answer me if U want to...
I just haven't read all of ur posts, but I agree that Matt Tong is a f***ing awesome drummer!!!
And bout Franz Ferdinand: The beat & drums are very important for both of them... That's just why both of their drummers are that incredibly gorgeous!

I LOOOOVE TO ROCK

thats the blueprint for every single one of these new british guitar led pop bands. jangly guitars and frenetic drums beats.
