I saw them Friday. Black Angels drummer was fierce, she smashed a hole in her snare. I really like them, hadn't heard anything by them before.
The Raveonettes were really good. They played a lot of new stuff, in fact almost every song from their new album, but I don't think you'll be disappointed :D |
I'm quite enjoying The Raveonette's latest album.. brings me back to their first two albums (LustLustLust didn't really stay with me).
Wish they'd tour to my parts of the world!!! Sigh.. |
Oh my... They did absolutely fantastic! It turns out my cousin talked to the band ahead of time and they let us go backstage and chill with Sune, Sharin, and all of the Black Angels. We got a lot of stuff signed and Sune and Sharin were so chill. Really really nice people. They had so much energy live too. It was just a fantastic show.
Black Angels were also fantastic by the way. Played a really good set and really set the mood for The Raveonettes. EDIT: I forgot! They played a lot off their new album. Which sounds really good I enjoy it. And a bunch off LustLustLust too (which was by far my favorite album). It couldn't have been better. |
^^ Amen! The Raveonettes and Black Angels are the best bands out right now, imo. Alongside Black Rebel Motorcycle Club!

I'll have to ceck them out. Thanks!

*Bump*
I have have their albums for quite some, but it's only recently that I really got into them. They are some of the most versatile bands I know. Pretty in Black is definitely my favourite album of theirs, nearly every track is genius. My favourite tracks from that one are Love in a Trashcan, Uncertain Times and Somewhere in Texas. Lust Lust Lust is also brilliant, if a bit less accessible. Aly, Walk With Me is heaven when played on a high volume. |
