Bullet Train To Vegas
A great new Nitro band, that sounds quite similar to bands like At The Drive-In and Fugazi. They also have the same energy and sound as a lot of D.C. bands. I think their album We Put Scissors Where Our Mouths Are is just really good as a whole so I'm not gonna recommend any songs.
The Site: www.bullettraintovegas.com |
They sound pretty good.
i went to their site and downloaded cut the party to pieces, really really good, very ATDI, i'm tempted to download the whole album cuz i've been searching for something similar to ATDI, you know the fresh, brisk, angry voice ( not emoish cuz emo screaming is just rediculous ) and angry music....you mentioned fugazi, i heard about them a while back when i was trying to find some hardcore bands but the fact that they have like 15 albums put me off a bit ( because of the amount of catching up i would have to do ), do they really sound like ATDI and can someone recommend some songs maybe?
waiting room is my favorite fugazi song adidasss, id pick up 13 songs.
long division is a good track to off of Steady Diet of Nothing |
thanks! i'm on it....
nope, downloaded both of them, i really wouldn't call these guys hard core, more punk....sorry , didn't like it, not angry enough.....( maybe i'm downloading the wrong songs ) his voice just doesn't suite the music....
Fugazi isnt really an angry band (if thats what you were looking for), i think ian got the majority of his anger out with teen idles and minor threat.
ian would be the lead singer? he was in minor threat ? ( familiar name, can't say that i heard the music, except for "in my eyes", that's a pretty angry song.....still punk though, i'm looking for hardcore )
ya, ian is the singer for minor threat who alot of ppl claim started staight edge, and fugazi is a band that alot of people claim started emo...one reason why he gets so much recognition, i cant think of anyone else that has been given credit for starting two surprisingly popular genres...anyways, back to the subject (kinda)..ATDI - they do that song one armed scissor right?
