I am a music fan, not just 90's. I love all music from different times. I love 80's pop, 70's rock, 50's rock n roll to name but a few. And i care about whats relevant because i am a musician myself so its just something that interests me. When you make a product its good to see if there is a demand for it. So i asked this question out of interest basically. As a maker of music i do care what people like. |

[QUOTE=elphenor;1744970]I knew you'd be a 90's music type fan
Let me let you in on a secret: Almost nothing popular in the 90's was original Thats not really a secret but thanks. I did know that information but thanks for the reminder. My response would be, originality does not make something good. And the question was not about originality in the first place. |

Yeah, i am suprised that people get so worked up. Its just the internet!! And i was just looking for great new music recommendations for cool people. So, thanks to everyone again for being involved. Oh, and when i said new and fresh, i didnt mean original. Those are different things. Just good indie guitar music thats been made recently. Nothing is really original anyways.....

How far back? I hope you don't mind me going back to '13/'14 with the first band. The Soundcarriers are from Nottingham, UK. They have a Psychedelia and Experimental sound much in the same vein as 60s group The United States of America. It sounds like could be Joe Osborn playing bass on Low Light, Osborn was a studio musician he played with the Wrecking Crew and back groups like The Fifth Dimension. Wild Nothing - Life of Pause has a very 80s sound. There is something about Japanese Alice that reminds me of Outdoor Miner. Xeno & Oaklander is minimal electronic duo, members are Sean McBride (US) and Miss Liz Wendelbo (born in Norway, lives in NY) band – album title The Soundcarriers – Entropicalia (2014) Wild Nothing – Life Of Pause (2016) Xeno & Oaklander – Topiary (2016) The Soundcarriers: Entropicalia [2013] The Soundcarriers - Low Light [2014] Wild Nothing // Japanese Alice [2016] Xeno & Oaklander - Marble [2016]
