JGuy Grungeman 06-23-2016 07:33 PM

If we go outside alternative and indie, Led Zeppelin's my number 1.

JGuy Grungeman 06-24-2016 08:43 AM

I assumed a thread in the alternative and indie section would mostly focus on it when I made my first post months back. This post was in further detail. Keep in mind I was the first one to post here after the OP, so I wouldn't assume he was talking about all bands. The thread would've had to be in the general music discussion.

JGuy Grungeman 06-24-2016 08:52 AM

You mean the same favorite band as a lot of people who actually have taste?

JGuy Grungeman 06-24-2016 08:56 AM

Bland and taste are not the same thing to people who like Zeppelin, but I don't think you would understand.

Chula Vista 06-24-2016 09:00 AM

Led Zeppelin hands down. That band wrote the soundtrack to my youth and coming of age.

I'm gonna guess The Fall is number one?

Chula Vista 06-24-2016 09:25 AM

Damn those dudes could jam! Best rock and roll rhythm section ever!

Frownland 06-24-2016 09:27 AM

Did you even listen to the song? Swings so hard it's ridiculous.

Frownland 06-24-2016 09:29 AM

Do you even know who those guys are? Prove you so wrong it's ridiculous.

That's why you were in one, right? I'm not sure what this has to do with the convo though.

What the **** are you talking about? I wasn't in a tribute band.

Cover band, tribute band, same lack of creativity.

Now what the **** are you talking about?

JGuy Grungeman 06-24-2016 09:52 AM

Isn't that thes Magic Band?

Frownland 06-24-2016 09:53 AM

Original members Drumbo and Rockette Morton of Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band, yes.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>JPJ and JB (that's a pretty high bar though, so it's not really even a knock on Zeppelin when I say that)

I actually love Zeppelin, but I hate Kashmir with a passion.

Love how the chicks in the orchestra section start rocking out at one point.
