The Magic Numbers

Forver Lost has been getting a lot of exposure in the UK and i just want to know peoples opinions on the song and the band as a whole. apart from the fact the bassist is a moose i think their quite boring personally.

Urban Hat€monger ? 06-03-2005 12:35 PM

they`re ok but Teenage Fanclub do that sort of thing so much better.

The bassist is a moose? the whole friggin band look like they fell out of the ugly tree

Sneer 06-03-2005 12:37 PM

she/it/whatever you wish to label it as sticks out. teenage fanclub- great band. definetly agree.

Sneer 06-05-2005 09:09 AM

chemical brothers are one of the most important electro acts of the 90s. so i dont really mind if they do a lot of collaberations.

Imonlydancing 06-09-2005 11:46 AM

^ yeah, spose.

back to topic. has anyone seen the video for forever lost? whaddya think?

adidasss 06-09-2005 12:34 PM

listening to the album right now on nme.com...they're quite good acctualy, perky sorta music, hippy, reminds me of crosby stills and nash or creedance clearwater revival i guess ( i don't really listen to those bands but that's the impression i got of their music )...i'm considering downloading it....maybe...

The Magic Numbers

What do you lot think of The magic numbers

I love forever lost and i seen them on the tv live at T in the park and Glastonbury and the guy seemed to be really enjoying himself

Great songs

Sweet Jane 07-11-2005 12:02 PM

I see it becoming my summer album

wolf-girl 07-11-2005 12:16 PM

I'm undecided about these guys, went to see them last winter after huge recommendation from a friend, they were only just starting and though they talked to the crowd and it was enjoyable, the music didn't back them up. It all sounded slightly familiar.
Forever Lost is a great song though, that spreads a smile across your face. What is their album like?
Should I buy it?

Sweet Jane 07-11-2005 12:24 PM

Nah, don't buy it, you like Anthony & the Johnsons... it's not 'that' good, there's better cds you could be buying. Still worth a listen though. :)

i listened to the whole album on nme.com...i don't know if it's still there....try to find it before you make your decision...i though they were ok...but it didn't strike me as something amazing like when i listened to cold roses by ryan adams....

wolf-girl 07-11-2005 12:42 PM

Can't find it suppose someone will have it if its really worth it?

adidasss 07-11-2005 12:47 PM

wolf-girl 07-11-2005 02:41 PM

*Sky* 07-12-2005 06:09 AM

I like the Magic Numbers. I would like to go see them live.
Forever Lost and Long Legs are tuuneess. :D

indie vixen 07-25-2005 07:30 AM

I saw the magic numbers when they were supporting Doves a few months ago (i think it was that gig...) well anyway i thought they were great. They played about 5 songs and i loved every one. They radiate this sense of calmness, and play the sort of music you could listen to on a sunday morning in bed completely chilled. Magic Numbers we salute you.

timewaster 07-28-2005 12:43 PM

i bought the album and i saw them at t in the park and i think they're pretty dam good

Urban Hat€monger ? 07-28-2005 12:58 PM

The album is value for money ...seeing i got it for nothing.

It`s ok , not a patch on Teenage Fanclub though.

And i`m pretty sure the band members fell out of a pretty tall ugly tree

ned_zepplin 07-28-2005 03:28 PM

hu cares what they look like?

they make feel good choooons very listenable but i guess they could get annoying
