Babyshambles (Will they be ****ing forever?)
Killimanjiro= Fantastic F*** Forever= Flantastic (btw MTV2 play the uncensored version BEFORE watershed which is quite amusing when you have kids around asking what the naughty boy on the British donkey is saying) Live= OH MY GOD COULD THEY BE ANY CRAPPER???.
So now Petes off the smack, has he lost whatever made him such an onstage icon? The band honsetly were quite pathetic at their festival appearences so far, my band (who have been together 3 days and boast three spoon players and a pigeon as a singer) couldve done better. Are Babyshambles going to disappear into history as that funny side project Pete Moss (I sooo hope he takes her name) had, or will they be Libertines beaters? Or where The Libs equally as terrible all along? You tell ME, wise guy/gal/pigeon singer.

The libertines, to me, where never as phenominal as anyone made them out to be. They were decent, but theres something to be said for some form of fluid directness. They seemed to be too loose to me, too sloppy, and its not that it was forced, but it did seem...inauthentic.

There`s nothing more irritating than middle class crackheads pretending to be rock star.

libertines- very good. got both albums and i love both. i think their shambolic, loose approach was the thing that made them popular. it was wild and jagged.
babyshambles seems a bit tighter and more professional. wasnt too keen on killamanjiro but i love **** forever. great song. dont think they'll be as good as the libs. |

Yeah, Libs first album was good, 2nd album was, but not as good.
But Babyshambles, i've read reviews of their gigs with their previous drummer (gemma, left 'cos of pete...i think) and it sounded like mayhem. But they seem tighter now, and i LOVE F Forever. tres bien. |

did anybody see that documentary on pete the other week (uk tv).
for those who didnt it was this reporter guy who was like obsessed with pete and so followed him everywhere and got backstage with him n stuff and they had a mutual friendship until it all turned ugly and pete beat him up, but woz very interesting, got to see the really mental side of pete as well as a more sober, sensitive side....kinda |
