That probably means skin cancer. Not gonna kill him as long as they keep scraping. In fact I won't be surprised if what they "scraped" was pre-cancerous skin growths but that he, being Morrissey, prefers to say Cancerous Tissues. Ah well, good luck to the old bastard regardless.

To me it seems he doesn't want to quit being a musician but that he just can't handle it due to health problems.
it also seems to me he is switching his creative medium to a less stressful one, if his body can't handle touring as a musician, f*ckin write novels then, that's just a smart move.

I hope he gets better and i hope he doesn't give up music forever.

I wish him well and hope he makes a full recovery.

Although I haven't had the time to listen to his new album I actually prefer his newer stuff compared to when his solo career began

He was diagnosed with barrets esophagus earlier in the year. It could very well be esophageal cancer. Or, like you said, pre-cancerous cells.
I think we likely cracked it between those two. Not too bad.
