Preliminary: The Cult, The Pogues, Cocteau Twins, Birthday Party, Dead Can Dance, Chameleons

20. Dead Milkman, 19, Mission of Burma 18, Echo & the Bunnymen, 17, Jesus & Mary Chain, 16. Sisters of Mercy, 15, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds 14. Sonic Youth, 13. Bauhaus 12. Violent Femmes, 11. The Smiths, 10. Joy Division, 9. Gang of Four, 8. The Cramps, 7. Pixies 6. Ministry, 5. Public Image 4. Killing Joke 3. Siouxsie & the Banshees, 2.Skinny Puppy, 1. The Cure

Huh lowest turn out ended up for the final, but I did notice people booking out when their faviourite band got knocked out.

Anyways it came close with a draw, but because The Cure had less votes against them in previous rounds, the winner is.....

The cure

I would like to thank everyone who came out to play and it kept it going with your votes, it was fun! Music Banter world has spoken cheers.

I wanted Skinny Puppy to win, but I'm pleasantly surprised that they made it so far.

Thanks, as for the 90's I think I'll leave that to someone else. 80's alternative was pretty straight forward, the 90's gets a bit eclectic, cheers.

I can't believe mission of Burma is so low. I guess they're more punk than alternative, if that even means anything, but that signals and whathaveyou album is god damned good. Also, sonic youth that low? Fuck yourselves guys

I think Music Banter has just been summed up in two sentences.
