Default I'm so lost...

Used to really dig the indie stuff.

I fell off the music wagon without even realizing it, maybe 2 years ago. It feels like an eternity. I was one of those guys who just downloaded everything that got more than a 6.792 on Pitchfork. I woke up this morning and realized that all I listen to these days is Stevie Wonder, Agalloch, and Katie Perry.

I'm fixing to get back on the ride, but really just don't know what the hell is going on.

Where should I recommence? I feel like I've found myself in some vast labyrinth with so many twists and turns it could even confuse a collective of animals or a deerhunter.

You mean 'indie' as in music from an independent label, right?

Cause some ppl use the term 'indie' not to describe an independent label but an alternative sound.

In any case i would suggest to just look for whtvr stuff you like, Forget reviews and biased opinions cause ppl are wrong ALL THE TIME

if i believed what ppl say i would be sucking Tame impala's dick, but im not cause they didn't impress me

Allow me to recommend you a band from the indie label 'Stolen recordings'

Pete and the pirates

Not a revolutionary band for the music industry but they can make a catchy tune or two..

Cut down your Katy Perry listening to just the first album. That'll start the fixing process.

Well you know SXSW just happened and that's like indie mecca so check out some of the bands that got really hyped up during that week.

You're not as lost as I am - I don't know much about those two bands you've just mentioned. I'm not much into Animal Collective though funny you mention Deerhunter, Bradford Cox was in that band but he does some stuff under the moniker Atlas Sound. I like some of his stuff like Mona Lisa by Atlas Sound.

What were favorite bands when you were into indie?
