I honestly believe that The Pretender was a 90's classic. I didn't realize til 08 that it came out in 07. I could swear I heard that song a lot in my childhood. I like their singles, but the albums seem like filler to me.

Eh. Some of the albums are like that. One By One isn't very good aside from the singles.

I actually think the latest album is solid throughout.

They have some good moments, The colour and the shape being one and the latest album is pretty good, but IMO all pretty sub standard from someone as talented as Dave Grohl. If you listen to interviews his musical taste is pretty good so it seems to me like he is making albums for either mass acceptance or fame....either to me is a complete sell out

I just don't understand why Harmonix feels the need to put a million foo fighters songs in Rock Band....

He was born in a town near mine and we gave him his own alley, as well as the keys to the city. There was this big ceremony with a bunch of local bands, and he played drums with my friend's band. It was really awesome. The sound quality of this is sh*t but here it is if you're interested.

I listened pretty closely to Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace the other night and it's pretty darn solid! Definitely in my top three by these guys.... along with The Color and The Shape and There is Nothing Left to Lose... lots of good rocking stuff along with a few diversions and new sounds, and they actually make a pretty darn poignant piano ballad in "Home".... which is actually now one of my favorite Foos songs....
