I was reading on Ultimate-Guitar today that a donation group has been started to raise 10 million dollars for Weezer to disband. Their reasoning really being that they haven't released anything good since Pinkerton and they want to save the fans the hassle of being disappointed with another sub-par Weezer album. Weezer apparently shot back that they would indeed disband, but only if the group could raise $20 million instead.

Ultimate-Guitar, huh? I thought they'd be too busy praising Yngwie or Eddie's gonads?

I'll admit their articles usually are steamy pieces of shit but they do get their stories from reliable sources.

Forget giving them money. It would be much funnier if they released an album and it sold 3 copies... Which all showed up in charity shops just a few hours later.

They're well on their way to that path, I was hoping that getting signed to Epitaph Records would cause them to go back to their roots, but I guess it was not to be.

I must confess even despites its cheesiness, I am really quite fond of '(If You're Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To'.
