With Weezer though, even at their most terrible and generic you can always sense that somewhere deep down Rivers Cuomo still has that spark. It's been a while since he's shown it though.

Something needs to spark soon for him though, before his band slides further into generic rock forgettable - ness...

I think we saw it for one track on the last album - Angel and the One was stunning, I wish they would use that as a template for their new direction but it looks like Raditude is going to be another tongue-in-cheek silly fest.

Did no one tell Rivers Cuomo that Blink 182 are reforming and thus that market is cornered...

To be fair, whilst never being particularly great, Blink 182 got better throughout their career, whilst Weezer did the opposite.

Quite a fair assessment there... Weezer WAS a whole lot better during its first three albums... then they went on hiatus, came back and started releasing crap...

Default Blue Album

Yeah. I'd go with the Blue Album.

The blue album is how me and my friends got started playing music. We taught ourselves how to play our respected instruments, except for me i just wnated to sing lol. The first songs we started to learn as a band were the tunes of the Blue Album.
