They're obviously going for a "so bad its funny and catchy" strategy with that album title... lord knows you couldn't honestly sit back and think to yourself and think wow, what an amazing album title...hehehehehe....I wonder what the music is like...

Is anyone having the same feeling that I am.... that Weezer are just tired and worn out sounding now? Never was a huge fan but ya know some of their earliest stuff was pretty gold... but the more recent songs... nah, sorry...

I think you'll find a good proportion of Weezer fans agree with you. I certainly do.

I think they are started to play it too safe (at least for their genre) a long time ago. When they don't, like on most of Pinkerton and The Greatest Man That Ever Lived, the results are great.

And of course the songwriting was so good on Blue that it didn't matter how safe it was.

It does indeed seem like a long time ago since you were able to switch on a radio and hear Weezer and think to yourself... wow that really stands out as something different...

Now they sound like the same ol' FM fodder you can hear anywhere... nothing stands out, impresses or makes you even love for it's quirks...

Back to the Drawing board Weezer, and this time don't come back with a slightly modified version of the old design....
