What bands?

I've heard people say they are like Franz Ferdinand.

I'd say The bravery were the most similar to Hot fuss, but Sam's town is another matter completely.
I love Hot fuss, but they've gone to shit with their sophomore effort. Their impersonation of Bruce Springsteen was downright embarrassing. They should have stuck with what they knew best, fun new-wave pop-rock...

I think concerning Hot Fuss they were mostly influenced by 80's bands like Depeche Mode, The Cure and that lot. Adidass had it right completely with Sam's Town, except i didn't particularly like the first one either.

I think The Killers were basically trying to be New Order (totally ripping their name and image off from New Order's Crystal video) and have failed miserably. Hot Fuss had a couple of good tracks, but the lead singers limited vocal ability has proven their downfall. And what is up with the image change? Are they trying to be the Dresden Dolls now, or Modest Mouse? I can't tell.

I am of course talking about the Crystal video. They got their name and image from that video.

Good prediction for the Kaisers. Their second album was, I believe, quite well recognized as being an absolutely sh1te product and way inferior to the debut. There would, you'd imagine, be much less interest in the third.

Bands should be in separate threads though. It's not like they're sister groups of something, hell, they don't even make the same sort of music.

killers = a singles band, and a decent one at that.

Thoughts on recent collaboration with Elton John?
