Maybe not hard to google, but certainly hard to search for threads on a forum.
Soul Mining is brilliant, but I really can't find any redeeming qualities in the two other albums I've heard (Infected and Mind Bomb). Every time a song comes on shuffle or something it pretty much sucks. I've listened to both all the way through but really don't like them.

I liked nearly everything Matt Johnson did between 1983 and 1993 including Soul Mining, Mind Bomb, Infected and Dusk.
Johnson's early Nineties lineup of The The was a post-punk super group, with Johnny Marr (ex Smiths), on guitar, James Eller (ex Teardrop Explodes) on bass, and Dave Palmer (ex ABC) on drums.
