The dude from The War On Drugs. Solo albums are pretty cool and he seems to hav evolved a lot over the years. I just got smoke ring for my halo and I'm into it.

Any other kurt vile fans out there?

I listened to the album quite a bit when it first came out, Jesus Fever is an incredible song.
I like his laid back style. I think he's bringing out another album this year.

Album wasn't anything special IMO apart from Jesus Fever, which just has you in a trance.

love Smoke Ring for My Halo, superb album.

Inclined to agree with 'Thinkofthechildren' it's a little repetitive over the course of an album, but there are real glimpses of brilliance, Jesus Fever being the most apparent.

Anyone listening to Wakin on a Pretty Daze? I'm liking it quite a lot.

Yeah, its very good.

Smoke Ring For My Halo was one of the best of 2010. There are no instantly catchy songs like Jesus Fever on Wakin On a Pretty Daze, but the whole thing is so good throughout that I think this might be on my top 10 of 2013. The guy is just so chill, it's hard not to be in a good mood when you listen to him.

He is going to be playing very close to me in the near future. I saw "Kurt Vile" on pollstar and recognized it immediately from here.

"Jesus Fever" is great. I'm going to give the new album he will be promoting a listen. It's sad, but I have to take what I can get where I am at. Anyone seen him live?
