Not sure I hear much acid rock in their sound. They're making 60s and 70s-style psychedelic pop & glam, most notably influenced by David Bowie, T. Rex and The Rolling Stones. I'm been enjoying them a heck of a lot lately.

Found this band about a week ago and instantly liked them. When I listened to the entire album though it seemed like a mix of so many different influences that I almost had to think of it track by track rather than an overall sound. "No Destruction" reminds me of The Velvet Underground whereas "Shuggie" reminds me of The Zombies and "San Fransisco" reminds me of Jefferson Airplane. Etc.
Anyways, I like these guys. For you people who haven't heard them.... We Are the 21st Century Ambassadors of Peace and Magic- Foxygen (FULL ALBUM) 2013 - YouTube |

21st Century was a murderous album. Even though they are very transparent about their influence, they do their thing so good I just can't be bothered with that.

He sounds like Jagger in "No Destruction", I got goosebumps.

I always saw his vocals on that song as very Dylan-ish, but he does have that mellow-Jagger swag for shore. The title song was the song that was really Jagger inflected to me.
