Music Festivals - Recommend bands
Right I'm posting a link to the line up of a music festival I'm going to here, because I've noticed some bands I hadn't heard of mentioned by people I have similar taste to on here, for example LedZepStu talking about Clor, and I don't want to miss anything good. I reckon at least 3 of you know my music taste well enough by now, so if you could check out the line up and recommend some of the smaller bands if you think I'd like them that would be great.
http://www.meanfiddler.com/displayPa...asp?PageID=453 Maybe I can repay the favour if anyone else if going to any festivals over the summer, stick a link up here.

well...where to start. thats looks like an awesome line up.
the radio 1 stage looks really good. first column dead 60s, DFA 79, blood brothers, and yes..THE SUBWAYS will all put on a great show. second column arcade fire, the kills, NBA and HHH will be good. not a fan of the editors. cribs may well float your boat and of coarse theres dohertys band- always worth a look. third column damn what a line up....duke spirit, willy mason and sons & daughters will be class. art brut are a bit too generic for my liking. dresden dolls...im sure your aware how good they will be! i notice bands at the bottom like "we are scientists", "dogs", "clor", "blood arm", "neon" and "the paddingtons". to me i'd imagine you like most of those bands. but the main gripe i have is...you get to see BRMC |

Yeah good idea I'll post the bands I haven't heard much from.
Transplants Blood Brothers The Black Velvets The Cribs The Longcut The Editors Hatebreed Antiflag Emanuel The Explosion No Comply Charlotte Hatherly Saul Williams 747s Sleater Kinney The Caesars Dresden Dolls Artic Monkeys Battle The Blood Arm Boy Kill Boy Dogs Every Movie a Picture Fell City girl Forward Russia Mystery Jets Neon The Rifles The Rogers Sisters Two Gallants Yeti We are Scientists Young Offenders Institute Joe Cole Komakino Cheers Stu, I shall be checking out Clor, the Subways and some of the other bands you recommend. I've seen BRMC 3 or 4 times now so I probably won't be seeing them. Met Robert Turner after the first gig, hanging around outside the ladies toilet - very rock and roll. I loved them then, NME style. He signed my entire arm and I refused to wash it for days. I'll probably regret telling that story but oh well...

Saul Williams is really great, something a bit different, he is a poet but has moved into the trip-hop kind of genre but very good.

Just like to say Clor are awsome. They've been on mtv2 with zane and they're really good fun. Lots of things going on in their music. Have a listen to 'Good Stuff' if you can, that pretty much sums them up. sort of indie techno :P
