I don't think they can top the popularity they had after Radioactive. The collaborations they've done are less than thrilling. They'll burn out so quickly.

Default great musicians coldly commercial

As a band they are admittley very tight and bang on the current trends of everything. However, could never be my cup of tea as they just seem far too 'polished' and lacking in authenticity. Not saying they aren't good in they're own right! They fit their purpose of appealing to the wide demographic that rock and roll left behind, however just give of such a corporate, almost Nickleback vibe,

Anyone agree/disagree?

They're not worth discussing, like Mumford & Sons.

I enjoy most of Imagine Dragon's tunes. They have a sound that I feel is somewhat unique - they don't really use much guitar at all, mostly drum and bass.

I think their lyrics and singing style definitely differentiate them from other "rock" bands. But, I wouldn't consider them a "rock band", which is what grates some people. They are closer to an alternative post-rock category maybe. I would put Imagine Dragons in a category with Linkin Park. I have no quarrels at all with these 2 bands. Much respect.

Imagine Dragons are onto something. They have introduced the alternative genre without being too abrasive. They make people stop, turn up the radio, and take interest in who is playing. Their music can have a repetitive tone but it is altogether engaging.
