I kinda liked the Matthew Dear, not something I would normally go for, but interesting. It made the appropriate changes at the appropriate times for me. I did like "Little People (Black City)" a tad bit more.

I agree with you here. When I was listening to my "Working for a Nuclear Free City" radio station on pandora, these guys came up and I was hooked. My personal cup of tea is the said  WFANFC. Somehow managed to find these guys through "Glitch Mob Radio" on pandora, but man these guys blow my mind! These were my "Gateway Drug" into Indie Music. Enough chit chat just click the play button and enjoy :wavey:

I'm not too keen on listening to a singer/songwriter artist, but Jake Bugg makes me evaluate that.

Nice, nice, very nice. Laid-back, indie folk-- I've been listening to a lot from this revisited(for me) album. It's hard to pick just one! "The Indie Queens are Waiting" is a hit, but this is what I've been listening to:

Alice in Chains 04-25-2013 12:43 PM

Loving this one even though I found it months ago. Just so atmospheric.

Justthefacts 04-26-2013 04:26 PM

Sounds like a follow up record to Julian's first album. The Strokes I do not hear anymore.

What a shame.

^^Slow Groove, you did it again! I love that.

How could I be so ignorant to M. Ward, I've only listened to this album once and it's quite amazing.

katsy 04-29-2013 08:36 AM

This song reminds me of a jr high dance-- with your hands in your dance partners back pockets. But in all seriousness, this song kicks ass.

Alice in Chains 04-29-2013 02:29 PM

So calming. Not very atmospheric for a warm day but I'm loving it regardless.
My favorite from M.Ward apart from the work he's done with Zooey in She&Him.

I listened to this twice just for a double take and it's really as amazing as I thought it was. Thank you for sharing, I haven't heard it before.

Sorry for the double post.

One for all you shoegaze/dream-pop heads. Their new album Wait To Pleasure is damn good.

They were still indie at this point.

Sequoioideae 05-04-2013 08:32 PM

Awesome opener to an awesome album. Sheets of warm reverb, fuzz, and feedback put me in a state of pure bliss.

JakeATLBraves24 05-05-2013 07:54 PM

I liked it from the start, but now that I'm a few listens in...this is really an excellent album.

Steve Burns. Yes, the original host of Blue's Clues (as well as the best host). Believe it or not, he's actually a fantastic Indie Pop artist. He's friends with The Flaming Lips (who unfortunately I haven't heard much of, though that will change) and some of the members of The Flaming Lips helped with both of his albums, and Steven Drozd is a member of his band. I'd post videos, but I don't think I'm able to unless I have at least 15 posts.

INDIE means independent. In musical-line .Some musical band are independently perform
in stage. It operates without major corporate funding. this type of Musial event not decide
any corporation, this decision a one type of group.

RoxyRollah 05-06-2013 01:21 PM

I was revisiting some classics today...

The Sane Psycho 05-06-2013 02:02 PM

Never mind, I figured out how to do it. Here's some of Steve Burns' music:

I think is music is amazing. I loved him on Blue's Clues (nothing against Joe personally, but as a Blue's Clues fan since at least '97, he could never hope to fill in Steve's shoes) and now I love him as an artist.
