The Go Team
A much welcome antidote to the current crop of 'Ooooh look at us we own a Gang Of Four album' bands that are everywhere at the moment.
Saw them described as Sonic Youth meets the Jackson 5. Can`t really argue with that.

The Go! Team sounds like inspirational experimental-pop, really uptempo, high sugar level, new millenium super hero music. All in all, I think they sound pretty good, and like you suggested, a nice change of pace from the current trend of new wave clones.
And btw, they let you sample 3 songs from their website. That's always a plus. The Go! Team Homepage (Click Here)

They are one of the few bands around who get me out of bed in the morning.
And not to change the cd either. Ah-hah! Urban I knew I'd recommended them to you before, in January as it happens, when you were looking for new bands. http://www.musicbanter.com/showthread.php?t=4416 You really should start listening to me
