I think its really well put together, and some of his lyrics are incredible. Plus Graham Coxon plays guitar on it ;) . it's got nothing on his unreleased stuff though.

2002-2012, then. I tried to stay true to the "indie rock" sound and ignore any potential favorites that were too punk or hardcore (Dillinger Four, On the Might of Princes), too "alternative" (Radiohead, The Mars Volta), or too pop/electronic (The Knife, Yeasayer, Animal Collective). Sticking to 5 is proving quite difficult...so I'm cheating with 10 (and that's hard too).

4. Imaad Wasif - The Voidist - some of the most well-rounded pieces of music from this songwriter 3. Tobacco - Maniac Meat - gets funky. gets my synth on quite nicely 2. Mew - No more stories, are told today... - wow. just, wow. 1. Arcade Fire - Neon Bible - still the most genius and beautiful body of music to come from this very relevant band. |
