Yeah, but that's exactly the point: U should hear what u like to hear, not what some trends are telling u... But that's exactly what many people do.
U should have ur own opinion and I think it's ridiculous in the same to say. "Oh, I like this band, cause it's not that popular yet!"
Cause trying "to be alternative" seems to be kinda hype, too.

Thats fine , but when you do speak out against those bands you get called things such as elitist or arrogant , it`s happened to me & Hookers on a number of occasions.

People get defensive when you say you dislike bands they like , Personally I think Hot Hot Heat are a bloody awful one hit wonder band living on borrowed time , but there you go.

But when u critizize, you have to accept critics as well!
And of course they get defensive. Wouldn't u defent ur favourite band???
