Pop Strike
Hello people. I'm new to this forum.
After reading Luke Haines's Post Everything last year, I was inspired to go on a year-long 'pop strike' - basically I haven't intentionally listened to any music released in the last year, from June 1st 2011 onwards. However, the years up at the end of this month so I need some new music recommendations from all of you. Anybody got anything mindblowing for me? |

The 'Pop Strike' tag is just a general term encompassing all genres of music, coined by Luke Haines. It's a bit of a rallying against the relentless regurgitation of modern music - everything's already been done - type of thing.

Cheers, I'll get investigating as soon as we hit June.

Very near the top of my 'to listen to' list - loved their first album and still regularly listening to it five years on. Hammered 'Let England Shake' - it came out before my strike. 'The Lasting Living Rose' is one of my fave tunes of all time, especially Polly performing it in front of Dave Cameron on the BBC's Andrew Marr Show. |
