That mood is incredible.
Really, really agree. They maintain such a consistent mood, I don't know how they did it. There's obviously correlation between songs in the standard album but in Low it is literally as if all the songs have been drawn from the same atmosphere pool.

Also, "sunflower" from a different album.

Seeing them live was a memorable experience. Everyone was riveted, the audience was silent...it was kind of surreal in an amazing way.

I Could Live In Hope is an album that I really have to listen to at the right time, otherwise it completely ****s up my day and leaves me with dark cloud hanging over my head. I still haven't come across another album which uses its constant bleakness and misery to swallow me like that album does. Codeine's Frigid Stars and Red House Painters' Rollercoaster come close. It's a truly amazing album.

Yeah, it's what I like to listen to when I want to wallow in my misery a little. That and Mazzy Star.

I get more of a warm, comforting vibe from Mazzy Star rather than all-out misery. Something to do with Hope Sandoval's voice. Distintegration and Faith by The Cure and Closer by Joy Division would be some more of my wallowing albums.
