I like this band quite a lot. Their music can be very bleak and depressing at times but at the same time can comfort you. Definitely one of the best slowcore bands.
This song is a favourite of mine I have a live Codeine bootleg as well if anyone wants it?

I've got a super-soft spot for The White Birch. It's one of my favorite albums.
I wrote a review of it here once.

I only have The White Birch, which I just put on now. It's been a while.
I do like this record. I never really found myself engrossed in it the same way I was with I Could Live In Hope by Low & Songs About Leaving by Carissa's Wierd, but I do enjoy it. Anything else worth checking out by this band? |

I like them, they've got the ability to make me zone out of whatever I'm doing and really just listen to the slow gentle tones and vocals.

Codeine - live at VUB, Brussels, Belgium 10-02-1991.rar They only released two albums, Frigid Stars and The White Birch. Get both of them, they're both great!
