Default Cloud Nothings

These guys just keep getting better and becoming more mature with each release. The new album is dark and poppy and produced by Steve Albini.

I've never seen them live but the random live clips I've heard sounds like they just speed everything up ridiculously and sometimes it really works but some songs are just meant to be nice slow jams and they don't recognizing.

I've only heard their latest, but I like that album a lot.

I agree, new album is decent, the best thing they've done so far.

Listened to their new album. Not a fan, really. I have an issue with the vocalist trying to sound too gruff for what his singing voice must naturally be. It can get repetitive in parts but the drumming is really great.

I think probably the best thing on this album is the guitars, they're almost math rock-y.

'Hey Cool Kid' is still the catchiest thing I've heard. Have they recorded anything catchier?

Probably this song.

You guys are talking about Attack On Memory when you say "their new album" right?

I completely agree. For me, it's the first truly satisfying release of 2012. It's been a long time since I found any music that rocked as hard and had as catchy melodies as this. Kinda reminds me of Sunny Day Real Estate.
