Best Gig/Tour this year...
 

Personally, The Hives last night was the best gig i've been to this year, its blew me away, theyre such great performers, they work the crowd up, and Peles new hair and moustache....hardly recognisable, the highlight of the evening though was catching Niklaus' guitar pick he threw out, and Pele winked at me :D
so...whats the best gig you've been to this year?

I'd LOVE to see The Hives live.

Straylight run....sadly.
I wouldn't say they were the best though.
John was laughing a little with Shaun and I don't know about what.
Then they started playing and had some great energy.
Not my favorite but I would see them again.

The best show I have been to would have to be the extremely energetic one put on by Death From Above 1979. It was amazing that a 2 piece band could bring that much noise. At my favorite local joint with only 200-300 people there, you can't ask for more at a pure rock concert.

I enjoy the fact that DFA79 LOVES to tour, I can't recall seeing another band that plays as many shows as they do and with such intensity. Somewhere around 60 dates on their current 3 month tour.

Best gigs this year so far... Low; Afri Rampo with Park Attack and the Gussetts supporting.

Worst gig so far was Cat Power last night. She was more together than the last time I seen her, seemed sober (she wasn't last time) and yet she still insisted she sounded off and ended the gig with an apology before running off. What a shame, she has so much talent.

a friend who'd been at a concert told me the concert was great and that they're great live but all the footage of their concerts suck!

yeah, ive also been to see razorlight, that was awsome, y'know the libertines bassist? his new band was there...and he can actually sing! it surprised me a bit.

Hives? Eh!, I saw SYSTEM OF A DOWN SAT 4/30/05 only 2 shows in the nation. Now thats ****ing special..

ooo were they good? did you go in the mosh pit? i wanted to go (to the tour in england...cos that is where i am) but its all sold out and i probably would have got a bit hurt in the pit.

Ive only been to two gigs this year.

Ordinary Boys which was fantastic and i saw The Bravery... who were ok, but nothing too special really.

I have The Music coming up this month though so im extatic about that! also this summer i have OASIS, COLDPLAY, REM to go to (in the space of 3 days!!) Also Bloc Party in October.

If all goes well I should be able to get a ticket of a tout for the one big weekend in Sunderland. Interpol are playing!! (L)

Im seeing REM up at Cardiff. Well, Im hopefully going anyway, I havent actually got a ticket, but its cause this one guy that has a ticket is having problems and prolly cant go, so he said I could have it...

So far, havn't seen anything I don't think. Tom Petty is coming around this summer though, that should be on point to say the least.

I'm going to see them in Hyde Park in London. :)

I'm seeing them at Hull! LOL! Should be good like. I can't wait for coldplay though, thats the gig im really lining up to see.

Ello, i saw razorlight too this year... That was great, and yeti were good too.
Im going to see stereophonics in september... Pixies in august and white stripes in november... But i think none of them will top off GREEN DAY. I saw them at milton keynes on june 19th and i think that nothing else will ever top that..... Even though im only 14. But that was defo one of the best tours this year. Ta ra xxx p.s. KOL ruuuule

I saw them perform THREE times this year (and I'm gonna see em once more in october), I guess that's enough to show my preferences.
But I wouldn't tell you if they weren't just absolutely f***ing awesome!!!
So all that's left to do is recommending warmly to you: Join one of their shows!
They're gonna play on some festivals (Secret Garden Party, Reading Festival & Leeds Festival) and there'll be a whole tour in the end of october (More information bout the exact tourdates on their website).

well i've been to see the white stripes, the best concert of my life so far, the beat fleet, the best croatian concert i've been to, and the biggest thing that's going to happen this year, bologna independent days festival, i've got me ticket, all that's left now is to try to convice our ( married ) friend to come along so there's 3 of us....that would be rockin!!...the hives are performing in Zagreb mid september (i don't know what the hell is happening lately, some really big bands are coming to Croatia this years:nick cave, jamiroqai, the white stripes, marilyn manson, the hives, queens of the stone age.....awsome....well it was about time! ) i don't think i'll go though, it's too close to the bologna thing and i'm not that in to them...although i'm sure it would rock!
