This band is great. They're alt-country I guess, but from what I've heard there are elements of post-punk, lounge and soul influences in there too. I've heard they're consistently brilliant, but have so far only acquired How I Quit Smoking, Thriller and What Another Man Spills. All three are splendid, especially HIQS. Fans of the Silver Jews will like these guys, whilst they've clearly influenced the likes of Calla too.

To those in the know, which albums should I explore next?

I've heard Nixon which is brilliant and Is a woman which has got some good songs on it but it's v.sparse. Best to make a playlist of the highlights. Damaged and the C'mon's didn't do anything for me.
