Delgados disband
http://www.billboard.com/bb/daily/ar..._id=1000874541
Yeah so I found out a couple days ago when it happened and forgot to post. I'm still really gutted about it. I think I need therapy. Anyone else care? If at least not about the Delgados, has anyone been particularly upset about any other band splitting?

It`s a shame but i`m not really surprised
5 albums in something like 10 or 11 years is pretty good going for a band who never really had any mainstream success , most of their contemporaries from that time like Comet Gain & The Telstar Ponies split up years ago. I`d say they did well to go this long

Geez, I had no idea the Delgados had 5 albums. I've listened to their record "Hate" (excelllent I might add) and not really familiar with their other stuff. If you guys got some album/song recommendations, shout em out at me.
I'm not at all gutted by this, well honestly they weren't even in my memory until I saw this thread, but for some reason I have a sudden urge to listen to their entire discography, just so I have a better opinion of them...

Well my favourite albums would be in this order....
Domestiques Pelotron BBC Sessions Hate Universal Audio The Great Eastern Although it`s a close call for all of them , they`re all pretty good.

Just to confuse Hookers totally, I'd actually put The Great Eastern pretty far up on the list to listen to. With Domestiques and Pelotron of course. I didn't like Universal Audio as much, probably because it didn't have strings but obviously it was cool that they tried something new.
I don't have the BBC sessions, Urban, what's on it?
