I really hate the way NME made a huge deal about them being the next Nirvana a few months ago. Yeah theyre sound is grunge, theyre different to a lot of the new bands around at the moment, and being a Nirvana fan i do like them, but they still have a bit of a way to go before they can even be compared, sorry. But as a new band i think they will do well, their last few gigs sold out so they must be doing something right.

Ill (hopefully) be seeing them in a few weeks *crosses fingers* Should be awesome. And I dont see why everything grunge should be compared to Nirvana... Nine Black Alps have a grunge part of them, but its not as if they're trying to walk in Nirvanas footsteps anyways.
^ me too, me too! I'm seeing them too! *gets excited* (well aita, you knew that) but still, yeah theyre awesome. Yeah, i'd have to agree with you about the Nirvana thing.
so i WAS right all along they do sound like nirvana
Maybe they have nirvana influences...but they don't sound exactly like nirvana, well in my opinion anyways.
Nuh uh, very different to Nirvana. I think they jus have a grunge influence in general. Theres always a lot more to a genre than one band, obviously. They dont sound much like Nirvana to me, but I see aspects of it in them I guess. *Makes no sense* Ah well.

I've only heard 'Not Everyone'. It's an OK song, Haven't heard any others though.

Well, I went to see them, I met Sam, and it was awesome. *dances* SOOO good. Front row, Got the Playlist AND a drumstick.

to me nine black alps have a grunge influence but they counteract that with a heavy brit pop influence and even a bit of post-grunge (bit of an anthises but nvm).
