I think sticking this in the World etc forum would be a bit of a disservice to these guys, as there's a very rich indie scene in China that I've been digging into lately that deserves to be judged on its own merits, and not that of the tags HMV or whoever would file it under. If a mod thinks it'd be better suited there though, I won't mind too much Anyway, these guys are one of my favourites from the scene. A lot livelier than most of the more drony, post-rockish stuff that I've heard from the area. They've only got the one album (released at the back-end of last year), and it's definitely worth a go if you're just up for some really fun, up-tempo indie. Here's a video; Anyone else into them? Need a link? Shoe-shine? Also, if anyone could recommend any similar Chinese indie to me that'd be exceedingly awesome of you, as I'm always on the lookout for more of the good stuff. |

The album's easy enough to find, but if you need a hand give us a shout. Check out Lonely China Day and Carsick Cars for more coolness from the same area if you like too. |

Wow this wasn't what I expected when I read China, very enjoyable, very upbeat!
