Just came across this interview with them. I think it's really interesting what Alex Kapranos says about emotional depth in songs, and the way it's not challenged in stories and movies, "but when you’re writing a rock n’ roll song, there’s always this presumption that they have to always be from personal experience to have veritas" and how they're trying to get away from that. What do you all think about storytelling in their songs?
