I only really liked Absolution.

Black Holes, Hullaballo and Showbiz bores the heck out of me.

I always like Hullaballoo myself, but I'm a minority. I reckon it's better than Showbiz, Black holes and Resistance despite being a B-sides thing.

I listen alot to muse. I've got all their cds and I must say that Origin of Symmetrie is definitely their best. The resistance is crap.

I personaly like "Absolution". In my opinion the best songs off of that album would either be "Stockholm Syndrome" or "Hysteria". "The Resistance" didn't really interest me that much. For me the best song from "Dead Star/In Your World" is Deadstar".

Gotta say though, that The Resistance did not maintain my continued interest after three or four enthusiastic listens, it seems to be lacking some sort of substance to it that made their earlier stuff more addictive... Maybe it's that I like their more fast / frantic sounding stuff, which is lacking somewhat a little more on The Resistance...

Their album "Black Holes and Revelations" holds a special place in my heart due to being one of the first albums I listened to that started to move me away from the generic pop-rock I listened to.

Such albums really resonate with a listener like that, especially if they mark a kep shift in the listener's tastes / preferences in music. I had a similar experience with R.E.M's Out of Time album... at the time most of my music collection was generic - ish pop, but this album pushed me very much in other directions...
