For a group with so much potential they seem content doing nothing with it :-/

Oh trust me I am not their biggest fan.... but my main point is that lyrically they may not be the strongest out there, but they are by far, not the worst....

But I agree with Conan, for such potential, they really could have shaped up as something better...

That's why I still say they should go with the all prog, no filler approach! hehehehehe

This should really be moved into the rock and metal forum.They've gone from being along the lines of Radiohead/Smashing Pumpkins(stadium-sized 90's alternative) to something much more along the lines of a Mars Volta.

Muse going full on prog? ew no.
I think they were much better in their stadium pop/rock suit with BL&R.
They kept it with Resistance, they just happened to **** up big time.

I dunno, I'm not a hardcore fan of Muse, but I'd give them a listen if they went full on prog.... and I'd either laugh at it or enjoy it... at least it would be something completely different which is always a welcome change!

so... if they can't do it right anymore, they should move on to other things

gunnels 12-27-2009 09:31 AM

I'm hoping that they just took a misstep and didn't lose their charm completely. ;_;

I liked "Uprising" - but I think the other stuff pales in comparison, so I'm not sure about them yet

First of all, GET THIS OUT OF INDIE.

Secondly, Muse are not even close to being my favorite band anymore. The initial awe has gone and now only the debut (like jackhammer) does much for me now, and a few tracks afterwards.

:yikes:

I'm the opposite, I was very cynical towards them for a long time but now I'm liking them more and more as I listen.
