Uprising and USoE are easily amongst my least favourite Muse tracks ever. They're so uninspired and unoriginal.

The radio stations over here are playing Uprising and United States of Eurasia NON STOP. Everybody is obsessed with them. I'm a little disappointed as they are really not my piece of cake but I'm still going to hold some hope for the rest of the album.

Its a little distressing to read all these posts about new songs not sounding too good... I am only just coming around to this band, and then they go and lower the quality bar? Well I hope not anyways....

Like Muse were very original to begin with.

Not very, but enough to be different from the rest of rock these days.

In main stream rock I suppose, but there are a few bands that sound similar to Muse. Uprising is a singalong stadium anthem, which is what they were going for and nailed it. I don't really know why you're calling it uninspired when it sounds reminiscent of Blackholes. But either way I really like the song, I just don't want the whole album to sound like it.
