Really? As I listen to Origin of Symmetry I realize what a great potential they had at that point in their career. When I hear a track like New Born I think 'this is great I hope to hear more of this epic rawness', sadly you don't for the rest of the album or their career for that matter because the band have seemed to trade in their prog boots for shiny glam ones instead.

If their new album is going to have more classical influences than rock, maybe they are going back in the direction of Absolution. IMO that album had a lot of classical influence.

1. Uprising
2. Resistance
3. Undisclosed Desires
4. United States of Eurasia (+Collateral Damage)
5. Guiding Light
6. Unnatural Selection
7. MK ULTRA
8. I Belong To You (+Mon Coeur S'Ouvre A Ta Voix)
9. Exogenesis: Symphony Part I (Overture)
10. Exogenesis: Symphony Part II (Cross Pollination)
11. Exogenesis: Symphony Part III (Redemption)

Meh, it could be worse. Only 4-5 titles really irritate me.

EDIT: These titles were released by the band's Twitter, just so everyone knows.

Matt Bellamy needs to get a sense of humour, and get it fast. If you are going to make bombastic tunes and overblown concepts your selling point, you kinda need it.

I mean Muse has got talent pouring out of their skins, and are wasting it on songs about conspiracy theories, and not even in a tongue and cheek manner, but in a SERIOUS way.

Then again this is the guy that thinks he predicted the first gulf war on a Ouija board.

On the other hand that three part symphony looks interesting...

Not every band has to be a laugh a minute singalong...

hahahaha I didn't know of this but I know he's really big on conspiracy theories, but Ive never really noticed them in their lyrics because god knows I don't listen to Muse for Matt's poetry.

Anyway on further inspection of Absolution isnt the utter shit I thought it out to be, it actually has some great numbers on there. Blackout is by far the best song on the album and possible the best they've ever released. It certainly doesn't fit the ,mold of a normal Muse song no over the top vocals and distorted guitar work here, it's mostly just a string section. Which leads me to believe that if the band can do this well with a string section in the span of 3 minutes that they'll do even better on a full album, which is why I'm starting to have big hopes for their new album.

This is actually the first time I have been vaguely curious about a Muse album, oddly enough...
