Origin Of Symmetry is very good.

It's like you're describing some of my friends, man.

But yes, pretty crap band.

I wasn't saying they were like Queen, per se. I found the voice double-tracking very Queen-ish - and perhaps the guitar riff part from "Knights of Cydoina".. But now that you mention it... there are more than a few ways in which comparisons could be drawn between what I've heard of Muse and early Queen.

Well... they did cite Queen as an influence in their new album. I love Black Holes and Revelations, calling it their worst album is probably pretty spot on, but their worst album is still better than a good deal of the ****e comin' out nowadays, however I am finding solace in the garage rock revival movement out of California. Origins of Symmetry is ... a new masterpiece, if you will. Try not to let the band members antics ruin the music for you... that almost happened to me with Weezer.

Do you think that's what I'm trying to say by my original post?

or

Are you saying that's what I should do?

Either way, no :)

Parts of Blackholes are okay, the rest is wank.

Matt Bellamy has some of the most aggrevating vocals I've ever heard in respect to their fairly loud and screechy style of music.

In all honesty the music's pretty good and varied from my point of view, you know, not half bad, but I personally can't stand the vocals.

Skid Mark 01-14-2007 12:22 AM

aw man, i love matts vocals.. and it looks like he has two brains live

Ok, so the general gist of what I'm getting here is that even Muse-heads tend to be saying that, based off of Black Holes & Revelations ALONE, they wouldn't have such a high view of Muse.

In that case, what IS the album I should listen to? 'Cause, I mean, *critically* speaking, Black Holes has definitely earned way more widespread acclaim than the others. So which is it?
