And quite frankly, I hate them.
reserve your judgement until you've heard "hysteria", "bliss", "in your world", "deathstar", "stockholme syndrome" and "muscle museum". they may change your mind.

and no redeeming qualities? their the only band in britian at the moment doing the heavy rock thing effectively. bellamy is one hell of a talent.

the albums due in autumn and their blatently going to do the festivals this year, which should be immense.

It's "Dead Star." Hm and he's heard New Born so I doubt more songs will change his mind, he probably just needs to listen more.

So who are you gonna trust, a genius like me or some moron from Kazaa?
And Citizen Erased owns both of them.

I downloaded Citizen Erased, Hysteria, Deadstar.

CE is better than the other songs but I can't bring myself to enjoy Bellamy's voice or the screech nature of their music. It's just not my band. I prefer heavier music, not as in death metal heavy or anything, but as in weightier, the overall feel is more solid and thick in sound. To me Muse sound fragile. Not as a band, but the feeling of their music.

Holy crap I made a meal of that, I'll just stick to my 2nd sentence.

But is it Bellamy who does the multi-tasking in the band? Because it's pretty well done if he is.

And that tells me that british heavy music has gone down the gurgler.

Default Muse

I have decided this band is awesome. Even the singers voice is likeable (to me only I think haha).

Opinions? Recommendations?

I love Muse, even though the lyrics are pretty pointless and Matt Bellamy doesn't half whine. The music has a crazy energy to it.

Recommendations? They've only had 3 proper albums out (unless I managed to miss one while I was away) - I'd recommend the second album 'Origin Of Symmetry' as the best, followed by the third 'Absolution', with the first album 'Showbiz' being the weakest... the songs just aren't as passionate on the first album.

My main recommendation would be to get hold of movies of Muse's live performances. They're fantastic live - Matt Bellamy acts a bit like somebody has plugged him into a main's socket, both hilarious and riveting.

I think that the live album 'Hullabaloo' has live movies on it too, but I'm not sure. I don't really buy things, you see.
