A Whisper in the Noise
Okay, this was a thread that I tried to establish in the Avant Garde/Experimental thread, but this is more Indie and Alternative. A Whisper in the Noise is an indie/shoegaze/art rock collective that uses multiple instruments, such as the cello, piano, french horn, etc. The front man, West Thordson, uses dark and minimalistic lyrics to portray his thoughts and feelings. This band is very unique and has both classical instruments and electrical sounds that blends together. I highly suggest this band to those who want to dive deep down in the genre of indie. These guys are not very known, and I feel a bit isolated because I'm the only one I know that likes them. Here are a few songs I would suggest:
Here's a song that usually is a good start: Last edited by TockTockTock; 01-16-2011 at 10:41 AM. |

I'd say this thread will fit into the Indie/Alternative sub-forum, so I'll just move it for you.
By the way, your Youtube videos aren't showing up properly. When posting a video from Youtube, use only the code after "=" in the URL, and put it between the Youtube tags - for example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swunpZMkZAk <- that code. Edit: Also merged your new thread with the old one. |
